MediaTek MT7668 is a highly integrated single chip combining 2×2 dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi with MU-MIMO and latest Bluetooth 5.0 radios together in a single package. The optimized RF architecture and baseband algorithms provide superb performance and low power consumption.

The MT7668 is designed to meet a diverse set of home connectivity needs. It can stream high definition multimedia with low-latency over 802.11ac Wi-Fi at up to 867Mbps to/from home or mobile devices or multimedia equipment such as wireless connected audio systems/soundbars. Significantly the MT7668 supports dual band dual concurrent (DBDC) operation of both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks simultaneously.

Connecting via its integrated Bluetooth provides direct control to home IoT, wearables, headset, smart RC or game controllers. The addition of Bluetooth 5.0 greatly increases the data rate over Bluetooth low energy connection.

The platform is highly cost-effective due to its embedded high performance PA/LNA and its onboard tri-antenna design for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth FDD, providing a concurrent operation of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Their coexistence is harmonized by innovative algorithms developed by MediaTek, which maximize performance and power efficiency. Supplementary interfaces include HIF (Host Interface) with USB3, PCI-Express, SDIO 3.0 and UART (BT).
