The tools are ours, so they can change
BrigenOne is written in house. When something gets in the way of the engineering, raising it can put it in a release — you are not waiting on a vendor.
CPS has been running since 2008, and the lab, the analysis software and the operations system are all our own. Going further needs more people.
Here is how we actually operate, so you can judge the fit.
BrigenOne is written in house. When something gets in the way of the engineering, raising it can put it in a release — you are not waiting on a vendor.
Every project runs through CPS Portal and errors are tracked to a named engineer. Good work is visible and mistakes are not hidden — we think that is fair in both directions.
From 3nm processes to 3D flash with more than 128 layers. Few places put this range of physical silicon in front of you.
Three quite different kinds of role — see which matches your situation.
We have customers across North America, Europe and Asia, but local presence and service remain thin. We are looking for firms or individuals with an existing customer base in semiconductors, IP or intellectual property to represent CPS analysis services.
Developing new customers and looking after existing ones. Mainly working from home, serving customers through CPS Portal — quotations, project status and deliverables all live in the system, so there is no trip to the office to look something up. You set your own hours, and pay is commission on the projects you bring in. The job needs someone who can follow what an engineer is saying; you do not need to perform circuit analysis, but you do need to relay technical requirements without distorting them.
Not performing the analysis from scratch, but assessing completed reports: judging whether the reading is sound, and annotating key circuits with the relevant patents and academic papers — so a report says not only what the chip looks like but where the approach comes from and how the field regards it. Work from home, no daily commute, paid per project. Suited to engineers with an analog or digital background who know their way around the literature, including experienced engineers who have retired or are changing direction.
No application form. An email is enough to start.
For contract engineers we usually start with one small real project to see how the collaboration works, and discuss anything longer term only once both sides are comfortable.
If you are not sure which of these fits, write and describe your background and we will work it out together.
