Passing old reports to the next generation
We periodically release part of our past circuit analysis work, free, to students, professors and anyone seriously studying semiconductor design.
Why we do this
The hardest thing about learning analog design is that you never get to see how others did it. Textbooks give you the principles, but the trade-offs, protection circuits and process compensation inside a shipping chip never make it into a paper.
These reports have already served their commercial purpose for us. For someone still learning, they are material that is almost impossible to find. Better that they keep working than sit on a drive.
New semiconductor technology appears constantly. Beyond your own work, you need to absorb a great deal across unfamiliar technical domains — this is one way we can help with that.
Who it is for
Open to anyone, though these people gain the most.
Professors and teaching staff
Discuss architectural trade-offs in class using real cases, which carries far more weight than a theoretical exercise.
Self-taught engineers
Moving into an unfamiliar technical domain? Reading a design that has already been proven is the fastest route in.
How to obtain them
Released periodically, in limited numbers.

Only reports CPS is entitled to distribute enter this programme — those that have completed their commercial purpose and carry no exclusive rights for the commissioning party.
Conditions of use
The programme is free of charge, but the licence has defined limits. Reading a report requires no application; any use that places its contents before a third party requires prior written consent.
Online reading, no application
Once signed in you may read the PDF in your browser for your own study and research. Reports are not downloadable, and neither BrigenOne projects nor schematic source files are provided.
Teaching and publication, consent first
Lectures, laboratory course material, citation in theses and academic publications, conference presentations, and any other use that places the report contents before a third party require prior written consent from CPS, must credit CPS as the source, and must leave the existing source marks and watermarks intact.
Not permitted
Reproducing, reselling or distributing the reports for payment, removing or obscuring the source marks and watermarks, or using the contents for commercial product development or competitive analysis.

Copyright in the reports remains with CPS. The programme grants a limited right to read and cite, not an assignment of copyright. To request teaching or publication use, write to info@cps-i.com stating the course or the venue; the purpose of this step is to confirm that the report carries no remaining restriction from the commissioning party, not to assess the applicant.
